Channel Sales Engineer:
The Channel Sales Engineer is responsible for interfacing with current base of Alliance Partners to promote the sales of our provider’s services through supporting and proactively interfacing with our Alliance Partners to sell our services. The position works closely with agents to successfully identify and sell new customer opportunities through our Alliance Partners. The position is responsible for the development and management of day to day support and sales funnel management of sales opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and grows existing partner relationships to drive incremental revenue
- Prospects and develops new potential partners by researching and responding to new sales engineering requests, following up on leads and qualifying new accounts for our agents and working with the Telegration, Inc. Alliance Partner team on specific Alliance Partner sales opportunities
- Maintains current and accurate information regarding all leads, contacts, partners and prospective partners and customers in CRM
- Delivers sales presentations to executive levels of organizations and assists in the preparation of formal proposals and responses
- Leads negotiations, coordinates complex decision-making process and strategies to overcome objections to closure. Manages the partner contract and training requirements
- Manage interactions with customers, agents and providers pre- and post-sale & order fulfillment
- Builds strong client relationships and ensures smooth hand-off to support
- Participates in Alliance Partner Program planning, development, execution and measurement to ensure that programs succeed according to plan
- Monitors customer satisfaction and escalates issues of dissatisfaction for quick resolution
- Set priorities and schedules to meet established goals; meets commitments consistently
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience Requirements
Education: BA/BS degree;
Experience: 5-10 years professional selling experience in high-tech or service related industry with a proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas. Experience with developing partner networks and a track record of successful year over year revenue growth through the channels
Or, any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements
- Outstanding presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills
- Self driven, motivated and results oriented. Must possess superior interpersonal and email communications skills and computer skills necessary to develop professional proposals via Visio, Excel and Provider’s Sales Portals
- Possess solid business acumen and the ability to present and negotiate as well as build rapport with customers and agents
- Must be able to act independently in face-to-face situations using judgment, tact and discretion
- Ability to carry out projects to their completion; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, prospective customers and vendors
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information; ability to understand and follow instructions
- Knowledge of current trends and sales practices of Telecommunications Agent Channel
- Strong work ethic and commitment to integrity
- Achieve sales by helping the Alliance Partner sales channel strategize and present products and services to enterprise customers
- Provide expert knowledge on data products and services offered through the Business Sales channel
- Support Product Development efforts by defining and implementing strategic solutions for enterprise data
